Skinny Air is ebook #6 in The Shetland Collection of crime fiction.
This story is about on the island of Unst and options detectives Jimmy Perez and Willow Reeves. The setting is surrounded by a mysterious ghost story of a kid who drowned within the Nineteen Twenties. Movie producer Eleanor hopes to make use of the ghostly theme in a brand new story, and when her greatest good friend invitations her to a marriage on the island, the whole lot seems to fall into place. Though I don’t learn many crime tales, the island setting appealed to me. It put the Shetlands extra prominently on my map and now they’re someplace that I wish to go to. The creator did a beautiful job of making the island environment with fog, coastal waters and the isolation of the place.
The tone of the thriller was fairly sombre because the issues of the lives of all these concerned turned unravelled. I did just like the ghostly theme and the eeriness that it added to the story. I additionally loved the crime factor of this story, however it was the island setting that received me over.
