The Final Runaway is set in Ohio in the course of the 1850s. It’s primarily the story of a younger English girl known as Honor Shiny who travels to Ohio with sister Grace. Grace intends to marry an outdated acquaintance from their dwelling in Dorset, England, who moved to Ohio a couple of years earlier.
Sadly Grace by no means makes it to their remaining vacation spot and Honor is left alone on this unusual land. She is befriended by milliner Belle, and finds short-term lodging along with her, serving to out within the store.
