This week I smashed by way of my ‘No Bulb Shopping for’⛔ restriction once I grew to become seduced by discount offers from Suttons Seeds.🌱 All these big proportion reductions, plus my membership low cost and a voucher on prime which ‘virtually’ cancelled out the postage and packaging charges, effectively, my resolve broke down. What did I purchase? A combination of 80 candy scented Narcissus for spring all for a tad over £20.🤸🏻♂️👊🏻
Whereas I used to be out potting up all these bulbs, I discovered fairly a little bit of color; sufficient to fill one other #SixOnSaturday publish.
First is that this Flame Tree,🌳 what selection it’s, I don’t know. We inherited it final winter when the branches have been naked; it had tiny non-descript inexperienced flowers in spring and small inexperienced leaves, which have now turned shiny purple (though they appear pink within the picture!).
Second picture is a Japanese Anemone, simply going over, however nonetheless very fairly. Third are extra of my ‘early’ Polyanthus, with their yellow centres which takes us properly into the following three yellow colored footage.
Image 4; the sunflowers are nonetheless hanging on regardless of the each day beheadings by the squirrels! Actually it’s worse than a sure 18th century Reign of Terror on some days.😉
Photograph 5 – one other burst of color from a pot of yellow (unknown selection) of Dahlias. Lastly the English Marigolds have actually loved this summer season, they’ve bloomed and unfold in plenty of patches and look very settled.😎
