FOUR schoolboys have been arrested after hurling a buying trolley down an escalator – injuring a person in his 80s.
The incident came about at an Asda Grocery store in Gravesend, Kent on February 24.
The pensioner, aged in his 80s, was ascending when a trolley was launched down the grocery store escalator – inflicting him to fall to the bottom.
The person was taken to hospital after sustaining head accidents and cuts.
The youngsters, aged 13 and 14 respectively, have been detained on suspicion of assaulting the OAP.
A spokesman for Kent Police mentioned: “The incident occurred in Asda on the Imperial Retail Park, between 6.20pm and 6.35pm on Friday February 24.
“A person aged in his 80s was going up an escalator when it’s alleged an empty buying trolley was pushed from the highest and knocked him again to the bottom flooring. The sufferer suffered head accidents and cuts to his arms and went to hospital.
