Stage 3: The chrysalis (pupa)
After the caterpillar has eaten its fill, it’s time for a really magical transformation. It kinds a chrysalis or pupa round itself, usually mixing seamlessly with its environment. Stage 4: The butterfly (grownup)

Encourage youngsters to look at and study completely different butterfly species, highlighting their distinctive traits.
