About H. Douglas Lightfoot:
Born in Vancouver, B.C., he graduated from the College of British Columbia with a level in Utilized Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1952, and obtained an MBA from Concordia College, Montreal, Quebec, in 1976. He spent eighteen years with Domtar Inc. on the Analysis Centre in Senneville, Quebec, engaged on analysis, engineering and financial research of all kinds of tasks for the pulp and paper, chemical substances and development supplies companies in addition to alternate energies.
Previous to becoming a member of Domtar, he spent a 12 months as Enterprise Analyst and 5 years as Design Engineer designing, constructing and beginning up chemical crops at Dupont of Canada, Montreal, Quebec. Earlier than that, twelve years of mission engineering at Commonplace Chemical Restricted, Beauharnois, Quebec.
He’s a retired member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec, Skilled Engineers of Ontario, and a Life Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He was a member of the World Environmental and Local weather Change Centre (GEC3) and its predecessor at McGill College department, Montreal, Quebec for 23 years till it closed in 2015. He wrote and contributed to revealed studies for the Centre on numerous topics associated to power.
Since retirement he co-founded the Lightfoot Institute, revealed a dozen papers on power and the function of CO2 within the ambiance, and reviewed greater than 250 papers for power journals.
