Heavy rainfall and minor to average flooding in some Gippsland catchments in Victoria are anticipated on Sunday as a low-pressure system strikes south on Saturday.
Rainfall totals of between 10-30mm are anticipated on Saturday for central and East Gippsland, with slopes east of Lakes Entrance anticipating between 30-60mm. Totals of between 60-100mm are attainable in remoted areas on this area on Saturday.
Rainfall will intensify on Sunday, with rainfall totals of 20-50mm anticipated in central and East Gippsland and 50-80mm round and south of the ranges east of Bairnsdale with remoted totals of greater than 100mm attainable on this area.
The Bureau has issued a flood look ahead to Gippsland catchments with minor to average flooding doubtless on Sunday. If increased rainfall happens, main flooding is feasible in East Gippsland.
