“Ain’t What It Used To Be” will seem on Shine with final month’s “Streets Of Rage“, in addition to “Shine” and “Comet“, and is teamed with a video by Andie Riekstina.
Savage says of the brand new launch, “The title is a typical punchline, folks use to depict the rotting state of something or nothing particularly. On this music nonetheless, I sing this expression with the alternative that means, as in; “Ain’t what it was, and thank god for that.” Individuals are rising – “Ain’t what it was” I’m letting go – “Ain’t what it was” I’m not doing that shit anymore – “Ain’t what it was”.”
Shine will observe Savage’s 2020 album Life Is Loopy, and was recorded and produced by Mac DeMarco in LA.
He stated of the album in April, “With Life is Loopy, I used to be delving into the overwhelming emotional expertise of life and with Shine, I simply needed to dive in and be extra therapeutic.”
