Yn ôl arolwg a gynhaliwyd cyn datblygu’r cynllun ar ei newydd wedd:

- dywedodd 79% eu bod wedi wynebu anawsterau yn y gadwyn gyflenwi
- dywedodd 75% eu bod wedi wynebu pwysau a achosir gan gostau ynni cynyddol
- dywedodd 70% eu bod yn teimlo bod angen iddynt uwchsgilio eu gweithlu
- dywedodd 54% fod Brexit wedi cael effaith heriol ar eu busnes
Mae’r cynllun ar ei newydd wedd yn canolbwyntio ar sicrhau bod Cymru yn parhau i fod yn genedl weithgynhyrchu flaenllaw. Mae hefyd yn canolbwyntio ar nifer o flaenoriaethau, gan gynnwys:

Wrth lansio Cynllun Gweithredu Gweithgynhyrchu ar ei newydd wedd Llywodraeth Cymru yn ystod ymweliad â Chanolfan Ymchwil Gweithgynhyrchu Uwch (AMRC) Cymru ym Mrychdyn, Sir y Fflint, dywedodd Gweinidog yr Economi, Vaughan Gething, fod y cynllun wedi’i ddylunio i sicrhau bod diwydiant Cymru mewn sefyllfa dda i groesawu’r heriau hyn, ac elwa arnynt. Un o’r heriau hyn yw’r newid technolegol a achosir gan y pedwerydd chwyldro diwydiannol.
Dywedodd Gweinidog yr Economi, Vaughan Gething:
“Mae gan Gymru dreftadaeth gyfoethog ym maes gweithgynhyrchu, a gall ymfalchïo yn y ffaith mai hello oedd gwlad ddiwydiannol gyntaf y byd. Roedd Cymru wrth wraidd y chwyldro diwydiannol cyntaf, yn ganolfan allforio fyd-eang, ac yn arwain y ffordd wrth ddatblygu dulliau cynhyrchu a oedd yn defnyddio peiriannau mecanyddol a phŵer stêm.
“Mae gweithgynhyrchu yr un mor bwysig i Gymru heddiw ag y bu erioed ac mae’n parhau i fod rhan annatod o’n hunaniaeth genedlaethol. Mae gennym gyfrifoldeb unigryw i ddiogelu’r sector hanfodol hwn a rhaid inni gydweithio â’r diwydiant a’n partneriaid cymdeithasol i sicrhau ei fod yn parhau i ffynnu ymhell i’r dyfodol.”
“Mae ein hymrwymiad i gefnogi ein sector gweithgynhyrchu yn parhau’n ddiwyro. Dyna pam roedd yn iawn inni gynnal adolygiad o’r cynllun i sicrhau ein bod yn parhau i wneud y gorau o’n hadnoddau ar y cyd, a hynny er mwyn ymateb i’r meysydd sydd angen yr assist mwyaf.
