The Cooperative Institute for Analysis in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) is searching for a motivated Postdoctoral Affiliate or Analysis Scientist to conduct analysis to grasp sources, chemistry and impacts of reactive hint gases within the ambiance. This scientist will work within the NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) Atmospheric Composition and Chemical Processes group (ACCP) and will probably be answerable for performing measurements and evaluation of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2 and NOy) throughout airborne science experiments together with the NOAA CSL AEROMMA mission deliberate for the summer season of 2023. These measurements are carried out utilizing custom-built laser-induced fluorescence devices which were lately developed in ACCP, and will probably be deployed on the NASA DC-8 “flying laboratory”.
