The Welsh Affairs Committee can be listening to from the potential builders of recent nuclear at Wylfa and Trawsfynydd as a part of its inquiry, Nuclear vitality in Wales.
The Committee can be listening to from witnesses throughout two panels. First, MPs can be listening to from representatives of Bechtel and Westinghouse, the businesses proposing to construct two AP1000 Pressurised Water Reactors at Wylfa on Anglesey.
MPs will then hear from representatives of Rolls-Royce SMR relating to its proposal to construct a Small Modular Reactor (SMR), with Wylfa and Trawsfynydd each marked as potential websites. In December, it introduced a ultimate shortlist of three websites, which incorporates Deeside, to construct its first SMR manufacturing unit with a ultimate determination on the placement anticipated shortly.
