One place will work with Division of Vitality (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement program (ARM) observations to know how tropical convection interacts with its surroundings, analyze noticed and simulated precipitation-features for excessive occasions statistics, and can work together with a crew of DOE-funded investigators. The opposite place will work together with the NOAA Mannequin Diagnostics Process Pressure (MDTF), growing process-oriented diagnostics for precipitation processes, together with storm-environment relations and bringing them into the MDTF software program framework, and contributing to furthering the framework.
