Nightlands previews new album with third single “Stare Into The Solar”

“Stare Into The Solar” lands with a Matt Sheffield-directed video, and can seem on Moonshine with earlier outings “No Kiss For The Lonely” and “Moonshine“.

Hartley says of the one, “The spark for this track began once I heard “Human Nature” (from Thriller) at a fuel station. The chords within the intro of that tune activated one thing in my coronary heart and I needed to write down one thing with related modulating chords. There’s some surrealism occurring right here. A whole lot of vocals overdubbed creating an uncanny, fractured gospel vibe. The lyrics stand in distinction to the general vibe, although: it is a lush, melancholy track about pure anger. I really like the arpeggiating synth solo within the break and I am pleased with the best way the lyrics poured out. It did not really feel like composition, it felt like remedy.”

Moonshine willl comply with Hartley’s 2017 Nightlands album I Can Really feel the Night time Round Me, and options contributions from saxophonist Joseph Shabason, The Struggle on Medication’ Robbie Bennet, Anthony Lamarca, Eliza Hardy Jones, and Charlie Corridor, Frank Locrasto (Cass McCombs, Fruit Bats) and producer Adam McDaniel (Avey Tare, Angel Olsen).

“Stare Into The Solar” is out now. NightlandsMoonshine album can be launched 15 July by way of Western Vinyl, and is obtainable to pre-order now.
