ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER tells of his abusive childhood rising up in Austria along with his violent “schizophrenic” dad Gustav, which drove him to his large success.
However he remembers it “destroying” elder brother Meinhard, who died in a drink-drive accident in 1971.
Born within the Austrian mountain village of Thal two years after World Warfare Two, Arnie says his upbringing was powerful as a result of his dad had been scarred by his wartime experiences.
“My father spent three days underneath the rubble of a bombed constructing,” he explains.
“Then they misplaced the struggle. They went dwelling so depressed.
“Austria was a rustic of damaged males. My father actually struggled.”
