The Cooperative Institute for Analysis in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) on the College of Colorado Boulder is looking for a Analysis Affiliate (Analysis Scientist) to generate experimental heavy precipitation object-based forecast instruments, confirm and course of WPC forecaster-issued merchandise, create prototype internet pages, and handle/oversee varied associated tasks.
WPC is positioned in School Park, MD, throughout the NOAA Heart for Climate and Local weather Prediction (NCWCP). The NCWCP is a extremely collaborative setting containing a number of NOAA organizations, together with the Environmental Modeling Heart (EMC), Ocean Prediction Heart (OPC), and Local weather Prediction Heart (CPC). This place requires the incumbent to carry out novel analysis, transition analysis tasks to operations, function Principal Investigator (PI) on funded tasks, supervise staff, and collaborate with exterior companions. This Analysis Scientist will work together with Federal WPC employees, NOAA scientists and forecasters, CIRES staff working at WPC, and exterior companions together with the Oceanic and Atmospheric Analysis’s (OAR) International Techniques Laboratory (GSL) and the Nationwide Heart for Atmospheric Analysis’s (NCAR) Developmental Testbed Heart (DTC).
