A DRUNKEN man brandished a damaged vodka bottle and threatened to stab a safety man at a Dublin procuring centre when he was being escorted exterior.
aron Kiely (38) made gestures in the direction of his personal neck with the bottle as he issued the “intimidating” and “nasty” threats to the doorman.
He was jailed for eight months when he appeared in Dublin District Court docket.
Kiely, of no mounted tackle, pleaded responsible to possession of the bottle as a weapon.
The courtroom heard the incident occurred on the Jervis Centre on June 4, 2021. Kiely was drunk and performing aggressively, and when the safety guard tried to escort him out, a vodka bottle fell on to the bottom and broke in half.

Kiely picked it up and brandished it, making threatening statements to the impact that he would stab the safety guard. He was seen on CCTV gesturing with the bottle in the direction of his personal neck.
The bottle was finally taken from him by a second safety guard. Gardaí arrived and arrested Kiely. His questioning needed to be suspended as a result of he was so intoxicated, however after that he was cooperative, the courtroom heard.
