I then walked on to Waterloo Bridge, pausing to take an image of the Nationwide Theatre, with the roof of the movie museum within the foreground.

There was an exhibition ‘after the wave’ on sq. pillars in entrance of the Nationwide Theatre which relatively appeared to echo the form of the constructing.

On Waterloo Bridge I took a number of footage trying downstream throughout the River Thames, this one concentrating on the north financial institution and St Paul’s Cathedral.

A wider view reveals boats moored within the river and the skyline of London, now relatively extra crowded.

On Strand I photographed this lion and two Chinese language males stress-free above Twinings, suppliers of tea to the Queen.

And these wonderful fish on Lloyds Financial institution Legislation Courtroom Department at 222 Strand, then nonetheless open as a financial institution – it closed in 2017. Above the doorway at 193 Fleet Road is that this determine of statue of Kaled, the web page of Byron’s Depend Lara by Giuseppe Grandi, relationship from 1872. Extra about it on Decorative Passions.

The constructing was constructed for pawnbrokers George Attenborough and Son in 1883 and has some wonderful sculptural element together with these winged lions, on both aspect of the wrought iron assist from which initially the pawnbrokers three balls have been hung. The Latin motto beneath is ‘Sub Hoc floresco‘, Below This I flourish.
