Liz Truss, the favorite to be Britain’s subsequent prime minister, has stated the “jury’s out” on whether or not French president Emmanuel Macron is “pal or foe” to the UK.
The international secretary added that if she was to succeed Boris Johnson she would decide him on “deeds not phrases”.
It’s unclear exactly why Truss has taken umbrage on the chief of one of many UK’s closet allies, a fellow member of Nato and a significant buying and selling companion.
