LibDems Open Candidate Choice in Gove’s Seat… Two Months After Deciding on a Candidate
Alasdair Pinkerton, the LibDem candidate for Surrey Heath, has had some disappointing information. Only a few weeks after being chosen to face because the LibDem candidate in Michael Gove’s Surrey Heath constituency, he has seemingly been de-selected in favour of a celebration publicity stunt. Based on an e-mail despatched to constituency members, and ‘leaked’ to Lewis Goodall, a brand new choice course of has been initiated for a hypothetical forthcoming by-election. The LibDems say that is vital to make sure there are appropriate candidates prepared for any constituency “the place there may be a doable by-election”.
Of their pleasure, the LibDems appeared to have forgotten that they proudly introduced Alasdair Pinkerton as their candidate within the seat on the 7th July, with Pinkerton saying he’s “prepared and excited to embrace the problem of the approaching years”.
