The Goodmesh Concours, a Netherlands-based multidisciplinary arts competitors, has wrapped up for one more yr. The theme for this yr’s competitors was ‘fish’, and Hungary’s Trio Silhouette took high prize for a daring efficiency that blended classical music, stay dancing, lighting and visible artwork.
5 finalists carried out in entrance of the Goodmesh Concours jury and a stay viewers at The Hague’s Theater De Regentes on 1 December. The judges recommended Trio Silhouette’s daring combination of media and the highly effective and poetic efficiency that resulted.
Cellist Mátyás Virág and pianist Róza Radnóti carried out works by György Kurtág and Leoš Janáček, accompanied by lighting, visuals and dance. ‘The strain throughout the efficiency was equal to that of actually catching a fish,’ the jury famous. ‘Once you get a chunk you get goosebumps and also you wish to preserve the catch with you.’
Second prize was awarded to Ensemble Emergenz from Germany, who mixed musical soundscapes with creative swimming, visuals and distinctive devices similar to a water piano and sub bass recorders. Lastly, the Viewers Award went to Sweden’s Johannes and Simon Rydén, who mixed solo baroque cello with dance.
This was the competitors’s third annual instalment. Throughout its first three years, the Goodmesh Concours has acquired functions from tons of of artists representing over 50 nationalities. ‘It is a clear testomony that younger artists are able to assume outdoors the field and provide you with new and thrilling methods to deliver artwork to their viewers,’ concludes Jacques Goddijn, the competitors’s founder, artwork director and idea developer.
