Commemorating the twenty fifth anniversary of George Solti’s demise, Decca Classics is releasing a brand new high-definition switch of the conductor’s most celebrated recording: the primary ever studio manufacturing of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, recorded in Vienna between 1958 and 1965.
With a forged together with Birgit Nilsson, Hans Hotter and Kirsten Flagstad, Solti’s tackle the Wagner blockbuster was twice voted ‘the best recording of all time.’ Decca’s remastering of the 38 unique stereo tapes have been made at 24 bit/192kHz decision, permitting higher element and dynamic vary than ever earlier than.
