Manchester band Chilly Comforts return with a brand new single from their forthcoming album, shifting in the direction of the likes of Demise From Above 1979 of their sound.
After a short pressing hushed chant, the brand new single from Manchester’s Chilly Comforts, I Want It, explodes right into a jittering disco-postpunk shakedown, harking back to bands like Demise From Above 1979, a touch of The Rapture, a sprinkling of LCD Soundsystem. It grooves like the most effective of their heroes, build up within the bridges in the direction of surging choruses earlier than they drop again into the sputtering beats of the verses. The track is a large leap ahead for the younger band and an enormous growth from what we heard on their debut album.
I Want It’s a style of what’s to return from their second full-length, slated for launch subsequent February, the band seemingly settling into a brand new rhythm. Stripped right down to a three-piece, the track is a particular distinction to their earlier, extra American alt-rock-tinged songs, extra playful and joyous in its supply.
Can’t wait to see what they ship on the total album.
