Budding composers given alternative to have works carried out alongside a premiere by Mark-Anthony Turnage

Budding composers can have the chance to have their music carried out alongside a premiere by Mark-Anthony Turnage as a part of Name for Music, an initiative from the John Armitage Memorial Belief (JAM).

Everybody over 18, who was born, or resides or learning within the UK, is invited to submit a piece for choir, brass and organ by 24 October. Profitable submissions will probably be carried out alongside the Mark-Anthony Turnage premiere at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Avenue, London on Tuesday 21 March 2023 in JAM’s annual Music of Our Time live performance, which will probably be professionally recorded to assist composers promote their work. The performers embrace the Chapel Choir of Selwyn Faculty, Cambridge, Onyx Brass and organist Simon Hogan, performed by Michael Bawtree.

Extra data and easy methods to submit are at www.jamconcert.org
