Beforehand unseen pictures of The Band and Bob Dylan launched


A set of beforehand unseen pictures of The Band have been unearthed.

Taken by Ernst Haas, this sequence of never-before-seen pictures doc the ultimate date of The Band’s four-night residency at New York’s Academy of Music on December 31, 1971. There, The Band had been joined by Bob Dylan, who performed 4 songs along with his former backing band: “Down In The Flood”, “Once I Paint My Masterpiece”, “Don’t Ya Inform Henry” and “Like A Rolling Stone”.

The 4 exhibits had been recorded and launched because the Rock Of Ages album in 1972 – which turns 50 this month – and as a part of the expanded 2013 launch Stay on the Academy of Music 1971: The Rock of Ages Concert events.
