It comes as the Met Workplace has prolonged a thunderstorm warning throughout Scotland right this moment after heatwave temperatures soared to 30C.

A yellow climate warning has been in place throughout a lot of the nation over the weekend as rain and thunderstorms had been forecast.

And the Met Workplace‘s yellow warning has now been prolonged for the west of the nation from 12pm right this moment till 9pm tonight.

The warning extends from Greenock up the west coast and inland reaching in direction of Inverness and Ullapool.
