The right little recipe to welcome in autumn and with it – apple season. These are nice as a breakfast on the go, possibly with some yoghurt? Or flip it right into a dessert and serve along with your favorite ice cream!

- 100g jumbo oats
- 110g porridge oats [you could also use 210g porridge oats instead of the jumbo oats]
- 80g wholemeal flour
- 2 tbsp floor flaxseed
- 50g gentle brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp floor cinnamon
- 220g apple sauce
- 100ml milk [dairy or dairy-free alternative]
- 2 small apples, each cored, 1 minimize into small chunks, 1 thinly sliced
Directions
[1] Preheat the oven to 180ºc and line an 8inch ovenproof dish or baking tin with parchment paper.
[2] In a bowl mix the jumbo and porridge oats, wholemeal flour, floor flaxseed, gentle brown sugar, and floor cinnamon.
[3] Then add the apple sauce and milk and mix once more.
[4] Fold by the apple chunks and empty the combination into the dish. Flatten into the corners and gently push the apple slices into the highest.
[5] Bake within the oven for 25 minutes. Enable to chill for no less than quarter-hour earlier than eradicating from the dish and slicing.
