The Irish songwriter Aoife Nessa Frances will start her four-week run throughout the UK this Friday, 28 October.
The beginning of Frances’s tour coincides with the discharge date of her second album Protector. The album was recorded through the first 12 months of the pandemic in picturesque and darkly mystical County Clare. The songwriter was joined by Brendan Jenkinson (producer, keys, bass, synth, clarinet), Brendan Doherty (drums), Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh (string preparations) and Conor O’Brien (horn preparations). The ensuing file has a definite psychedelic people facade and mystique that conjures up historical landscapes, presumably of the County Clare origin. It explores the emotional depth and provides sure depth.
