The order of play is totally different from the results of our survey yesterday.

There, Badenoch was prime with 31 per cent, Truss second with 20 per cent, Mordaunt third with 18 per cent and Sunak fourth with 17 per cent.

Right here, Badenoch wins all 4 head-to-heads. Truss wins three and loses one. Sunak wins two and loses two. Mordaunt wins one and loses three. Tugendhat loses 4.

So Camp Truss, third within the Parliamentary poll, can argue on the proof of this survey that she may beat the highest two runners in a membership poll – so her supporters ought to stick together with her.  And never desert to right-of-Tory-centre options akin to Badenoch.

…And Camp Badenoch, fourth in that poll, can say that on the proof of this survey she will be able to trounce all comers – together with Sunak. So right-of-Tory-centre MPs ought to swap to her in the event that they’re not backing her already.

Camp Sunak will argue that their candidate is making progress; Camp Mordaunt that neither MPs nor activists ought to be deterred by unfair assaults on her character and document; Camp Tugendhat that their man is a high quality candidate and deserves an opportunity.

Lastly, take a look at how the don’t is aware of have fallen since our Subsequent Tory Chief survey of early this month. Particularly when the 2 candidates thought to be being on the fitting of the Get together, Badenoch and Truss, are within the discipline.
