As Little As NothingAs Little As Nothing by Pamela Mulloy

3.5 stars

As Little As Nothing is historic fiction set through the construct as much as the Second World Warfare. The story alternates between 4 essential characters: Miriam, who desires of flying aeroplanes, and Edmund, the village shopkeeper and Miriam’s garden-loving husband. Then there’s Audrey, a ladies who lives in a caravan and is campaigning to legalise abortion, and her nephew Frank, an engineer.

The e-book opens with a airplane crash; Frank and Miriam rush to the scene and assist rescue Peter the pilot. As soon as he has recovered, Peter provides to take Miriam flying. Later Frank teaches her to fly a airplane herself within the Gypsy Moth he has been rebuilding, and collectively they plan to participate in a race.

With chapters from 4 characters, there was loads occurring on this e-book and I discovered myself wishing that we may spend extra time with fewer storylines. The drifting backwards and forwards slowed the e-book down and I by no means had sufficient time to hook up with any of the characters. I used to be actually within the early aviator side, however that aspect of the story was overwhelmed with the abortion angle. It is a slow-paced story with loads of lyrical traces, however I’m afraid that it didn’t seize my consideration as a lot as I had hoped.
