‘Away in a Manger’ lyrics
Away in a manger, no crib for a mattress,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his candy head.
The celebrities within the brilliant sky appeared down the place he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the child awakes,
However little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.
I like thee, Lord Jesus! look down from the sky,
And keep by my cradle until morning is nigh.
Be close to me, Lord Jesus; I ask thee to remain
Shut by me without end, and love me I pray.
Bless all of the expensive youngsters in thy tender care,
And take us to heaven to stay with thee there.
