The Time Cave is a kids’s time-travel journey story. Tom and Jack are two younger boys who set off for a sail of their skiff from their modern-day Cornish village. They’re pulled right into a harmful cave by the tide, and the water continues to push them via a tunnel. After they emerge they discover themselves within the Caribbean sea through the Eighteenth Century.
The creator brings to this story his love for pirate adventures and classical kids’s storylines. The story had an old style really feel to it; our fashionable time-travellers have been utilizing ft and yards to measure wooden at one level.
I preferred the way in which that the story used the time-travel setting as a mini-history lesson for readers, however I might have preferred somewhat extra uniqueness to the pirates to make them much less clichéd in dialogue and look.
